It's that time of year again: The time for cries of "le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!" and heavily marketed tasting parties. You hear about it every year as the third Thursday of November rolls around, but how much do you know about this vin de primeur? It's ok; I don't know much about Beaujolais Nouveau either. So here are a few resources to help you brush up on your BN trivia before you attend that heavily marketed tasting party:
1. Wine Weekly gives us some "Beaujolais Nouveau Answers" - http://www.wineweekly.com/wine-basics/beaujolais-nouveau-answers/
2. Wikipedia is an obvious go-to source - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaujolais_nouveau
3. If it's not Wikipedia it has to be About.com - http://wine.about.com/od/winearoundtheworld/a/BeaujolaisNouv.htm
4. Styleathome.com offers suggestions on how to throw a BN party - http://www.styleathome.com/food-and-entertaining/party-planner/how-to-throw-a-beaujolais-nouveau-party/a/526

I'm getting old... first year since I moved to the US that I won't wake up with a massive Beaujolais-hangover ;-)
I can't believe the marketing around the wine every year. Crazy.
Where are these parties and how can I go?
Interesting post..The stats for the wine rising every year..Thanks for sharing information..
